One Number Service

THE CHALLENGE

You're a busy executive and need to remain in touch wherever you are: in your car, at home, at your office, in a hotel, at a partner's office, a friend's house, or even at a pay phone. You need a service that can work with a variety of communications devices including your home and office telephones, cellular phones, and paging devices.

What you need is a "one person, one number service," but you're frustrated by traditional offerings with multi-level menus that require you to use the telephone (DTMF) keypad. You don't want to have to sift through a maze of voice prompts to initialize the service, to add, modify and delete phone numbers, and to set the start and end times for various call routing and forwarding options.

THE SOLUTION

The One Person One Number service offered by Access Line, allows you to be reached using a single phone number. Access Line has developed a powerful, user-friendly interface that liberates you from the DTMF nightmare. With the large vocabulary SpeechWorks package, you can say, "forward all my calls to my house for the next two hours", "call Paresh at the Office", or "listen to my messages," and the system will respond accordingly.

SpeechWorks is capable of gleaning the necessary pieces of information from your conversation and activating the system as commanded. The real-time vocabulary generation and large vocabulary capabilities of SpeechWorks support the recognition of all command words, proper names and directories needed to implement the service.

Access Line is using SpeechWorks to expand its customer base and realize a premium charge to deliver the service. AccessLine chose the CT platform which permits increased port densities and the ability to upgrade services without the need to redesign the existing platform.
