A Warehouse Management System (WMS) is Software and Processes that allow organizations to control and administer Warehouse Operations from the time goods or materials enter a warehouse until they move out.
This is the basic function of warehousing. Surplus commodities which are not needed immediately can be stored in different locations. The goods can be supplied as and when needed by the customers.
It is achieved by the creation of time utility by warehousing. Fall in the prices of goods when their supply is in abundance and rise in their prices during the slack season are avoided.
When the goods are stored in warehouses they are exposed to many risks in the form of theft, deterioration, exploration, fire etc. Warehouses are constructed in such a way as to minimize these risks.
Add multiple Warehouses and also control the flow of stock between your store and warehouses, located at different locations with a single application.
Choose the Warehouse which is closest to the customer's location while you create a Sales order. This way you can deliver faster, save a lot of time and also cut down the transportation cost.
Select the specific batch or serial number while transferring an item from one warehouse to another. This way, you can keep a track on the movement of each item without any hassles.
Find out the volume of items that are shipped in and out from each of your Warehouses. Get more insights into each item's sales and purchase trends, in simple steps.
1. ABC Analysis to identify Fast Moving Goods
2. Intelligent aggregation of Bins and use of Bin to Bin Transfer, for better Space Utilization
A warehouse management system (WMS) is software and processes that allow organizations to control and administer warehouse operations from the time goods or materials enter a warehouse until they move out.
Warehouse Management Systems work to do things like track products and manufacturing resources, while providing handheld scanners, computer software, label printers, packing slip printers, and other tangible products to companies to get to the point where they can track shipments and products very easily.
WMS controls various departmental warehouse functions such as receiving and quality assurance, put away, replenishment of forward pick storage, picking, packing, shipping, returns and inventory control. With 3D view you can get control over storage.

Our customers love our predictable pricing and the confidence it gives them when planning how to scale design across their business. We build plans in partnership with you, complementing your unique organizational structure and procurement needs.
Every customer gets the personal support they need from our dedicated experience managers. That means you can pick up the phone or send an email to someone at Marvel that knows your needs inside and out.
We work closely with our customers to build features and integrations that provide the most value in the workflow. Every decision we make ensures our core functionality is exactly what you need, rather than overwhelm your team with things you don’t.
By using Softpal WMS we can now really see how much time we’re spending on picking one of our products. And the system also enables us to establish picking rule to prioritize orders to be picked, which enables us to better supply for our customers.
We required over 200,000 sq feet to operate. We now hold increased volumes but are operating at 120,000 sq. feet. If you factored the above into your efficiencies gains, we would have seen optimization well in excess of 25%. Before Softpal WMS, even with the larger warehouse space, when we reached 70% capacity we hit inefficiencies. Now operating with Softpal WMS even with 40% less space, we only see the same inefficiencies when we are operating with above 92% capacity.
Softpal WMS basically allows us to put product anywhere we want, rather than having a designated area for an item and for our model, that really works well. So, we can just find an open spot on the ground, put it away, tell the system where it is, and go to the next item.
